Hibiscus

We're stuck in a world that burns white,
As pure as our souls, before the day
We met, and everything turned grey.

The sunsets are colder around you,
And the skies always seem to cry.
How to fix, when you don't know why?

We could be better someday
But you bring out the worst in me
And you make me crave insanity.

Hatred and love, push and pull.
The storm clouds rain down bullets,
Planting seeds in our failing hearts.

A hibiscus blooms on your chest,
And it's red as the blood on mine.
But we both know, only I'll survive.

A drop of crimson in monochrome
Tells the story yet another one gone.
Someday I'll find someone to fix again.
