Hidden Magic

The hues turn murkier by the second,
As nightfall descends.
The moon peers out of the clouds
Giving me a glimpse of what is yet to come
The days might be loud
And that might be it for some
But when I see the stars whisper
And those wisps floating by
I see the magic in the universe
And all that beyond which may lie
Just for a second,
On a quiet December night,
The stars twinkled and beckoned
me to the window
And before I could blink,
It vanished with a glow
Beauty is what catches your eye
Maybe
But maybe beauty is the vanishing star
That fills you with awe
Awe of the universe
And leaves you wondering,
Wondering about what lies beneath
And what lies beyond
Those days of blues and bleak,
I feel far beneath the peak
But when I see the stars whisper
And those wisps floating by
I see the magic in the universe
And all that beyond which may lie.
