Memory Machine

Haha, you no more cross my mind.
Except when I think you no more cross my mind.
Was this all you were worth?
A machine that makes memories that disappear in 4 years?
Every time I think about you, you come.
Come out as words and poetry.
You were poetry anyway.
You look the same in my mind,
Yet, you feel ever so different, I tried to find
Why?
Because memories fade, and you never try.
What if I have found a love like yours?
All your smiles tell me that that’s a lie.
And when your memories dissolve away,
My legacy will stay to say,
“That a love so large, had to construct an empire so big.”
But wait.
Were your memories of me that cheap?
So cheap, it withered away that soon?
So soon, it never existed?
